A FEW REMINDERS & INFORMATION BEFORE THE FUN STARTS...
VENUE AREA
You will notice a clearly defined 'venue boundary'. DO NOT enter or exit the venue at any point other than the main 2 entrance/exits. Please!
If you trespass on private property surrounding the lake, (yup, that means everything from taking a leak not in a porta potty to taking a shortcut) your team will be immediately disqualified. Not joking.
Location: Georgetown Lake Lagoon / Cabin Creek Brewery. Address link below:
Address: GOOGLE MAP CLICK HERE
577 22nd Street, Georgetown, CO 80444 (Follow our parking staff to ALL event parking only)
Parking is very limited! Please share a ride if possible.
Team Check-in and Merchandise Store Opening:
Thursday, Feb 12th at 3:00pm and will go until 9:00pm. Please utilize those hours to fill out your waivers and make your team's $60 charity donation in order to get your team bag. Your team can not play until all members have checked-in and the donation is made.
If you are not checking in on Thursday, please allow your team time to do so before your first game. Games will start promptly at your scheduled game times.
If you are driving I70 in the morning, Please allow time for ski traffic. It's a holiday weekend and I70 will be very busy!
Teams will be expected to arrive at each of your games at least 10 minutes before start time. This will allow us to stay on schedule each day.
Upon check-in, please have your IDs and waivers ready. (DOWNLOAD HERE) Print and have these ready if you are able. That will significantly help speed up the process and you can be on your way! All players must sign a waiver before playing, so please allow yourselves enough time. For our youngins', parents must sign your waiver. If you have players who won't be playing in your first game, they MUST check-in before their first game.
At check-in, you'll get your tournament wristband, player hats, pucks, and more. You must wear this wristband to enter the venue and it'll also act as your 21+ ID at the venue bars! You can not play if you don't have this wristband on. New Belgium, Pink Whitney, High Noon, Chilly Ones, New Amsterdam Vodka, Cabin Creek Brewing, Hot Chocolate, and more will be available at the venue bar/restaurant area. (Don't forget to try the notorious 'minnow shot' while supplies last!)
Outside alcohol is not allowed into the tournament. This is for permit and insurance purposes and bags will be checked upon entry. Your team will be disqualified if you have outside alcohol in the venue.
FOOD: In addition to the wonderful food at Cabin Creek, we have 3 food trucks on site this year, a mini-donut trailer and coffee trailer.
SAUNA & ICE BATH: Sunshine Saunas will be on-site this year offering passes to utilize their mobile sauna and cold plunge! You can pre-book your pass by clicking HERE.
Don't forget to bring sauna things! - bathing suits, towels, etc.
Please remember to have team jerseys (or some kind of matching something...onesie, monkey suit, underpants, whatever). Numbers not necessary, just try to look like a team. If you have dark and light jerseys, that's great.
You may bring your own chairs if you'd like to setup a team area within the event boundary. You may only enter and exit at the two entrance/exit locations.
SCOREKEEPERS
Our scorekeepers are exactly that, they are volunteering to keep score for you and us! There will be one off-ice volunteer scorekeeper to monitor play. They are NOT a referee, they are a volunteer scorekeeper who does the best they can to monitor game play. So give'em a break! (They monitor scoring and they'll keep an eye on major infractions and report them to tourney management) Off-ice scorekeeper will act and be trusted as official testimonial to tourney mgmt
Please take a minute to review our 'RULES' page with your team. (CLICK HERE)
If for any reason, you find your team at a game without an official scorekeeper, we ask that you please help in one of the following ways:
Ask a fan/bystander/spectator if they'd be willing to score keep. (option 1)
All scores are kept on pre-filled clip boards in the rink bucket which also contains game pucks.
If it is not possible to find a scorekeeper, skate like we did when we were kids, use the honor policy to fill out your scoresheet in the bucket! (option 2)
The CPHT Zero Tolerance Policy:
As many of you loyal repeat teams know, we have a very strict ZERO TOLERANCE policy on several items. We take this very seriously and it's the very reason this tournament has become what it is!
This tournament is about friends, hockey, the mountains, and respect for others. It's about having a great time, making memories that will last forever.
Zero Tolerance: fighting. Hey, some of our crew is missing a few teeth, so we get it... We're competitive, we like to win, bang some pucks in the net, yadayada... But not here. You fight, you're entire team is done.
Zero Tolerance: Disrespect to our community. Our neighbors open their town for all of us, we owe it to them to show them how hockey players act and how we've all learned ultimate respect for others through this game. You disrespect, you enter private property, you're entire team is done.
Zero Tolerance: Littering. Pack out what you pack in, period.
Please be responsible and don't drink and drive. Below is a local shuttle option that services Clear Creek County if you don't have a designated driver.
ROUNDABOUT Shuttle:- https://visitclearcreek.com/roundabout/- 970-409-6714
IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION:
Parking is FREE.
- Parking space is limited, so we recommend sharing a ride to the Lagoon.
Please follow the direction of our parking staff and signage. If you park where not allowed, you will be towed.
Parking Map: CLICK HERE
If you end up parking in our street parking or a lot that is down the road, you should drop-off players/bags at the Cabin Creek Brewing parking lot entrance and have one person park and walk. All of the parking we have allocated is no more than a 10 minute walk to the lake.
*NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS ALLOWED IN PARKING LOTS! STRICTLY ENFORCED! YOU WILL BE TICKETED.
PLEASE FOLLOW PARKING SIGNAGE & PARKING STAFF
**AGAIN, PLEASE DO NOT leave trash of any kind in the parking lots, venue or on the ice. We are being watched and will be reported, resulting in a fine. (We are fined if anything is left in the parking lot or venue area)

LASTLY...
THANK YOU! We do not take you for granted, and we want you to know, that YOU are the reason our event has become what it is. (not kidding!) In addition, the Town of Georgetown is incredibly thankful for you, they enjoy having all of us here and trust both you and your team to respect the property and surrounding neighbors. They have been very supportive and they are happy to have you in town and grateful for your support of the local establishments and businesses.
Let's show the historic Town of Georgetown how respectful the hockey community truly is. We can't wait to have some fun with all of you on and off the ice!
I appreciate each of you very much, and thank you in advance!
We'll see you soon!
